Recycled plastic bollard (wood finish)

Imagine that your paths, tourist routes or viewpoints remain visible and guided throughout the night, without the need for electricity, wiring or constant maintenance. With the Photoluminescent eco-beacon From Abadecom, you can transform any dimly lit environment into a safe, well-signposted and sustainable route, enhancing the visitor experience and reducing operating costs from day one. Designed for night-time wayfinding and signage in natural and urban spaces, this marker combines a 100% recycled/recyclable plastic post (wood-effect finish) with a photoluminescent insert at a 45° angle, which increases the visibility of the guide point and aids route orientation.
Scope
The photoluminescent eco-beacon is ideal for projects that demand sustainable signage, high durability and aesthetics integrated into the surroundings:
- Tourist, archaeological and astronomical tourism routes.
- Footpaths, greenways and rural tracks.
- Itineraries in nature reserves, recreational areas and viewpoints.
- Ways to running and sporting tours.
- Unlit or poorly lit areas.
Additionally, you can incorporate high-intensity reflective bands (optional) to maximise visibility day and night, useful for pedestrians, cyclists and vehicles.
Properties
- Signage visible in the darkthe photoluminescent piece, once charged, offers more than 12 hours of luminescence in dark conditions.
- Real sustainabilitymade from eco-friendly, non-polluting recycled plastic, with a negative carbon footprint (reusing existing waste).
- Almost limitless durabilitymaterial UV-resistant, inert to environmental and chemical degradation, and putrefaction.
- Low maintenanceit doesn't splinter, doesn't rust, is easy to clean and anti-graffiti / anti-vandalism.
- Security and comfortimproves user guidance, reduces risks and elevates the perceived quality of the journey.
Photoluminescent technology
Photoluminescent parts are activated by sunlight or artificial light, with resistance to ageing caused by prolonged exposure to UV rays. Thanks to its 45° installation, the beacon offers a more direct and effective visual reading.
Important technical recommendation: to fully appreciate the luminescence, direct sunlight must not fall on it about the piece during the darkness.
Dimensions:
- Fust
- Total shaft height: 1250 mm (Various optional measurements)
- Embedment: 250 mm
- Shaft width: 90 mm
- Shaft thickness: 90 mm
- Diagonal cut at the top: 45º
- PHOTOLUMINESCENT PART:
- Dimensions: 68.50 mm in diameter.
- 10 mm thickness
Instructions for use
- Concrete pier foundation is recommended, penetrating 200 to 350 mm (depending on the shaft height).
- Recommended distance between markers: 5 to 25 metres, depending on the layout, gradient and need for guidance.
It must be taken into account
In order for the luminescence effect to be appreciated, no light must shine directly onto the piece.
Luminescent properties
- Bright green colour.
- Operating temperature range: -15ºC - 50ºC
- Luminance after 10 minutes: Greater than 1300 mcd/m²2
- Luminance after 60 minutes: Greater than 190 mcd/m²2
- UNE 23035 (*) luminance decay time: Greater than 26600 minutes
(*) Logarithmic extrapolation in accordance with UNE 23035 until the time when the luminance is 0.3 mcd/m² is obtained2
