Photoluminescent cycle lane separator

Turn any cycle lane into safer, more visible and sustainable infrastructure from day one. The Photoluminescent and reflective cycle lane separator The Abadecom is designed for cities, construction sites and urban environments that demand maximum durability, rapid installation and high night-time visibility without compromising on a genuine commitment to the environment.

Made with recycled 100% plastic (PVC), The cycle lane separator offers superior resistance compared to rubber or concrete alternatives, achieving a more robust, stable and durable solution. Its composition provides very high resistance to abrasion and ultraviolet (UV) rays, maintaining its performance in adverse conditions and reducing maintenance to a minimum. Furthermore, it integrates an anchoring screw fixing system, which allows for quick, clean and simple installation, ideal for road signage projects, cycle lane delimitation and traffic management in urban and suburban areas. complies with standard UNE 135902:2020, providing additional guarantees for traffic signaling and management projects in urban environments.

Maximum visibility: photoluminescence and approved reflectance

To improve road safety, it incorporates white reflective paint with high-intensity reflective glass beads, free of solvents and toxic substances, and approved by the traffic authorities. This increases the perception of the lane and the divider for cyclists, pedestrians and vehicles, especially in low-light hours.

Integrate a part high-performance photoluminescent, activated both by sunlight how to put artificial lighting, capable of maintaining a glow lasting over 12 hours in dark conditions or in poorly lit areas. This solution provides an added differential in safety by significantly improving nighttime visibility and helping to reduce risks on accident-prone stretches. Furthermore, its photoluminescent performance it exceeds by almost 9 times the requirements established by UNE 23035-4:2003 standard, ensuring performance well above the standard in demanding applications.

The white reflective parts allow detection at over 400 metres, enhancing safety in traffic environments and improving lane signalling.

Key benefits of recycled PVC

Choosing this separator means opting for a product designed to last:

  • Highly resistant and of almost unlimited durability.
  • Absorbs impacts and reduces wear and tear from intensive use.
  • Thermal and electrical insulator.
  • Resistant to environmental degradation (does not splinter).
  • Low maintenance and easy handling.
  • Environmentally friendly and non-polluting.

Properties of white reflective paint

  • Very good mechanical strength, with high hardness and great resistance to wear and abrasion.
  • Excellent chemical resistance, it protects the product surface from chemical spills, such as acid solutions, bases and solvents.
  • Waterproof.
  • Gloss finish: at 60° >75%.
  • Stormer viscosity at 20ºC Part A: 75-85±5 KU
  • Suitable for exterior use with very good gloss and colour retention.

Properties of reflective tapes

A non-metallised retroreflective sheeting with microprismatic lenses is used for durable signage:

  • Material: PET.
  • Dimensions: 300×50 mm
  • Format: Micro Prismatic.
  • Coefficient of retroreflection: ASTM D4956 Type I/II standard and European standard EN12899 RA1.
  • A superior visibility of 50 metres.
  • Durability: 3 years
  • Highlighted retroreflection coefficients (RA):
    • Angle 0.2º / 140 min: 0º/-4º: 615.0 | 90º/-4º: 409.0 | 0º/+30º: 112.0 | 90º/+30º: 35.4
    • Angle 0.5º / 50 min: 0º/-4º: 335.0 | 90º/-4º: 445.0 | 0º/+30º: 56.3 | 90º/+30º: 31.9

Installation Instructions

It is fixed to the surface by means of two screws placed at both ends of the spacer, which are inserted into the previously drilled holes. A distance of is recommended 1.50 metres between separators.

Properties of the photoluminescent piece

  • Bright green colour.
  • Operating temperature range: -15ºC to 50ºC.
  • Luminance after 10 minutes: > 1,300 mcd/m2.
  • Luminance after 60 minutes: > 190 mcd/m2.
  • Luminescence decay time UNE 23035-4:2003 (*) > 26,600 minutes.

(*) Logarithmic extrapolation according to UNE 23035-4:2003 until obtaining the time at which the luminance is 0.3 mcd/m2.

Actual environmental impact

For every unit of Photoluminescent cycle lane separator, emissions are avoided 22.75 kg of CO₂ to the atmosphere. A perfect solution for projects with objectives of circular economy, urban sustainability and public works.
